Born and raised in the small town of Keith, South Australia, Dr. Maysam grew up immersed in the world of healthcare, thanks to her GP mother and dentist father.

 

This upbringing sparked her deep passion for community-focused medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2018 and gained invaluable experience during her junior doctor years at Lyell McEwin Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre.

 

Dr. Maysam honed her General Practice skills across remote, rural, and metropolitan settings, including Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, Mount Barker, Portland and Kingaroy.

 

After achieving her GP fellowship in South Australia in 2023, Maysam has been practicing as a dedicated fellow ever since.  A firm believer in providing inclusive and culturally sensitive care, Dr. Maysam is multilingual in English, Arabic, and German.

 

Maysam's areas of interest include:

• mental health

• allergy medicine

• women’s health

• patient advocacy and minority health.

 

She seeks to ensure her patients feel understood and supported. Dr. Maysam is committed to creating a welcoming space for her patients, helping them achieve holistic health and well-being.

 

When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll find Dr. Maysam enjoying RnB classics, cooking Lebanese cuisine and spending time with her beloved dog, Zuko.
