Practice Nurse
We are looking for a Registered Nurse or medication endorsed Enrolled Nurse

The successful candidate will work in a close knit team supported by a hands-on Nurse Manager. We have onsite pathology, an excellent reception team, an Operations Manager and Practice Manager.
What We Are Looking For:​

We are looking for a Registered Nurse or medication endorsed Enrolled Nurse, with at least two years’ of nursing experience, to join us in providing support to our team of seven really lovely GPs, in our Fitzroy North clinic. Our team is growing and we want to maintain our high nursing standards to support our GPs to provide outstanding patient care.
​
To be considered, you must have solid clinical experience, including working as a nurse in an acute hospital setting.
​
Our ideal candidate would also have experience working in a general practice, confident with paediatric patients and providing immunisations. You would enjoy a challenge and be confident working alone and with the team. You must be genuinely seeking a career in practice nursing.
​
We need someone who shows initiative and is able to liaise with a wide range of health care providers. You must have superior communication and personal skills with a strong focus on patient needs. You are punctual, flexible and positive. You will have unrestricted AHPRA registration and BLS/CPR certificate.
​
The role is part time with regular afternoon weekday shifts totalling 20-30 hours per week. Day to day, your role will include:

Triage and assessment of patients

ECGs

Iron infusions

Venepuncture
-
Immunisations
-
Health assessments and patient education
-
Care planning and chronic care management
-
Wound care
-
Maintaining clinical data using Best Practice software

Managing the clinical environment and infection control
-
Cold chain management
-
Participate in quality improvement projects
-
Maintaining recall and reminder systems
